Montessori Center of Minnesota (MCM) is launching high quality Montessori early childhood programs across the state through our outreach initiative called Montessori Partners Serving All Children. We are recruiting academically excellent students with diverse ethnic, racial, economic and educational backgrounds to develop into high quality teachers to serve marginalized children and families who experience limited access to high quality early childhood education due to limited financial resources.
In exchange for a three-year commitment to work with us to serve these families, MCM is offering full tuition assistance towards an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) certification at the Primary Level, valued at $10,000. This certification is recognized internationally for its quality and high standards, and qualifies trainees to teach children ages 3 -6. The program is a graduate level program, offering the option to enroll in a Master of Arts in Education program at St. Catherine University in St. Paul.
Requirements:
- Native American student with passion for community revitalization. Language skills in Dakota or Ojibwe are highly desirable, but not required
- Hmong student with competency in Hmong and English language. Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to honoring cultural practices and customs within the Hmong community
